Students will have the opportunity to shadow physicians in different departments at the hospital for approximately 20+ hours per week. This includes observing various medical procedures and interactions with patients and colleagues.

Yes, in addition to hospital shadowing, our program includes cultural excursions to iconic landmarks and historical sites in Greece. These excursions are designed to provide students with a deeper understanding of Greek culture, history, and traditions.

We provide apartment-style housing located in the heart of the city, within walking distance of top attractions and the shadowing hospital. Apartments are fully furnished and equipped with amenities to ensure a comfortable stay.

Before the program starts, we host pre-departure orientation meetings to provide detailed information about arrival logistics. Upon arrival at Thessaloniki airport, students are greeted by a member of our team and guided to their assigned housing location. Shuttle service is arranged for arrivals and departures, ensuring a hassle-free experience.

Yes, daily breakfast and several group meals per week are provided.

Participating in the Hippocrates program offers aspiring medical professionals the opportunity to gain valuable clinical exposure, develop a broader global perspective, and cultivate important skills for their future careers in healthcare.

Students are selected based on their application, which typically includes academic background, extracurricular activities, and a statement of purpose. Additionally, some programs may have specific eligibility criteria.

Greek language is not required. The vast majority of our physicians are fluent in English!

Upon completion of the program, students may receive a certificate of participation or a letter of recommendation from the program organizers. These documents can be valuable additions to students' resumes or applications for further education or employment.
